14 Weeks: Feeling Better

First, let's just get something out of the way....

I'm a blogger slacker!

Something about early pregnancy, feeling sick, and eating 24/7 that doesn't leave a whole lot of time for blogging.  Actually, it's more about motivation (or lack there of) than time if I'm honest.  And I am.  ; )

It shouldn't be too much longer before I'm blogging about my usual home schooling, homemaking, large family fun...yada, yada, yada....again.  So I apologize for only posting preggy updates lately.

Baby

Baby is about 4 inches long and weighs about 1 ounce.  Eyes have been gradually moving from the side of the head to the front.  Ears have moved from the neck to the sides of the head.  The neck continues to get longer and the chin no longer rests on the chest.

Mommy

I am so happy to report that I am feeling better.  Still not out of the woods, but definitely getting there.  In fact, yesterday, I was telling a friend that I was able to make it from breakfast to lunch without eating two meals in between.  I am still chewing on my pumpkin seeds, but I am not eating every hour now.  Hooray!!!

So here's my 14 week pic.  I almost think I look smaller than I did at 12 weeks.  What do you think?

Do have an update?  Would love to hear about your progress!

    1. I am so sorry for your loss! I've lost three, but all earlier than you...between 6-8 weeks. Though they were all painful...you're right... having other little ones help in the healing process.

Thank you for your sweet comments! I pray for God's healing in your heart and for your whole family! Blessings!

  2. Maybe not smaller, but definitely not bigger. :) So glad to hear you are beginning to feel better!!

Est. weight check last week was most likely right on... they said 7#6. That would put him around 9#6 at term which would be typical of my boys ((9#6, 8#13, 8#10, and 10#). Everything else looks good. At this weeks BPP he was doing a lot of practice breathing - great for the lungs! Still praying for an early delivery. Oh, and another first... GBS test came back positive. Glad I'm feeling great physically, or this would officially be the most frustrating pregnancy ever! LOL

    I appreciate your prayers. :)

    1. Kristin,

I know what you mean about the 1st time GBS positive. With my 8th pregnancy, I had my first ever GBS positive. I was not happy! So, with my 9th..and now this pregnancy, I'm taking acidophilus pearls. I tested negative the last time...and hoping for the same this time.

Praying for you...especially that sweet baby would come early! So excited for you! Thanks for the update! :)

  3. I'm enjoying your pregnancy updates, it reminds me pregnancy is normal and just a part of life, just like homeschooling, homemaking, etc. It's so nice to see women talk about this side of life, esp. since just having our baby 3 weeks ago. BTW, you look great! Hope the rest of the nausea passes and you feel GREAT soon, too!

    1. Aww...thank you, Eve! What a sweet and encouraging comment! :) Never did I imagine, many years ago, just how much a part of normal life pregnancy and nursing would become. But I'm so thankful!

Congratulations on your new baby! How exciting! Many blessings to you and your family! :)
