This is a great post! I too am amazed at all the convenience foods that are out there. My sister-in-law one time looked at me like I was crazy when I started making brownies without a mix! The only thing I use a mix for is cake, but I would love to find a good recipe for one from scratch!
I started making only food from scratch out of the need of cost. As a mom of 10 I can tell the difference in my children's health because of it. I have to agree Kim that people think we are nuts because we make all of our foods from scratch. But it is well worth the effort!! Thanks for sharing.
